In-Home Parkinson’s Care in Temple City

Parkinson’s Disease is a debilitative disease of the central nervous system that causes cell death in the brain, creating mobility disorders that get increasingly worse over time.  The disease is named after English doctor James Parkinson, who provided the first detailed description of the disease in 1817.

The disease is most common in people over the age of 50 and is distinguished by four motor symptoms that include tremors, muscle rigidity, slowed movement, and balance problems.  In advanced stages of the disease, the person may barely be able to move and can experience speech, cognition, mood, and behavior difficulties.

If you have an Elderly or Senior loved one with Parkinson’s Disease, it’s important to have someone available to provide assistance with activities of daily living and help to avoid the risk of a fall in the home.

A-1 Home Care Agency provides compassionate and experienced caregivers, nurse aides, facility aides, and hospital sitters on a 24-Hour Live-In Care or Hourly Care basis at home, a nursing facility, or assisted living facility.

Our professionals can help your loved one with personal hygiene management, toileting, mobility assistance, bathing, meal preparation, exercise, transportation, recreational activity participation, and anything else they may need.
