Kidney Disease, also known as Renal Disease, occurs when the kidneys begin to fail and can’t serve their job function. It’s a disease that usually stems from other pre-existing medical conditions such as high blood pressure or Diabetes and doesn’t show any symptoms until the kidneys are nearing failure. Even though the disease doesn’t have any major symptoms, it’s important to keep a tight control over blood sugar and blood pressure levels to slow the progression of the disease if it is in an early stage. When the kidneys fail, the individual has to undergo kidney transplant surgery or dialysis to survive.

If you have an Elderly or Senior loved one who has Chronic Kidney Disease, A-1 Home Care can provide Kidney Disease & Tumor Care on a 24 hour Live-In Care or Hourly Care basis. Our caregivers can provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living for your loved one. If your loved one has high blood pressure or Diabetes, our caregivers can help your loved one pursue a healthy lifestyle on a day to day basis with proper nutrition, monitoring blood glucose or blood pressure levels, and exercise to slow the progression of Kidney Disease or the development of complications such as Hypertension or Cardiovascular Disease.

If your loved one is undergoing surgery for the removal of a kidney tumor, we provide dedicated Kidney Tumor caregivers to assist with recovery at home after surgery by providing personal care, incision care, and assistance with activities of daily living.

All of our Kidney Disease & Tumor caregivers, nurse aides, companions, and home helpers must have at least 2 years of prior at home caregiving experience, verifiable professional references, a National Background Check/DMV Check, Tuberculosis testing, Malpractice/Liability insurance, First Aid/CPR training, and a personal interview with our office staff.
