The function of the kidneys is to filter out waste products in the blood to be excreted as urine. When the kidneys can’t complete this process, it is known as chronic kidney disease, or renal disease, and can eventually lead to kidney failure that requires dialysis or kidney transplant surgery. The complicated aspect of kidney disease is that it shows no symptoms until the disease has reached an advanced stage in which the individual may begin to feel fatigue, difficulty concentrating, trouble sleeping, and loss of appetite, symptoms that are still rather obscure. Kidney Disease is oftentimes the product of pre-existing medical conditions such as Diabetes, Hypertension, and Heart Attack. To prevent the disease from progressing at an increased rate, it’s important to have a tight control over blood sugar and blood pressure levels. Blood pressure levels are highly correlated with the rate of kidney disease progression.

At A-1 Home Care, we understand how difficult it may be for an Elderly or Senior individual to manage their chronic kidney disease on their own. Keeping a close watch over blood pressure and blood sugar levels while trying to eat healthy or exercise regularly can be difficult to do singlehandedly, especially if the individual suffers from more than one chronic illness such as Diabetes and Arthritis. A-1 Home Care provides compassionate Kidney Disease and Tumor Care on a 24 hour or Hourly Care basis. If your loved one has undergone kidney tumor removal surgery or is recovering from chemotherapy or radiation therapy from a malignant kidney tumor, our After Surgery caregivers and Kidney Tumor caregivers can ensure that your loved one receives adequate personal care to recover as quickly as possible.

All our Kidney Disease & Tumor caregivers, nurse aides, companions, and home helpers must have at least 2 years of prior at home caregiving experience, verifiable professional references, a National Background Check/DMV Check, Tuberculosis testing, Malpractice/Liability insurance, First Aid/CPR training, and a personal interview with our office staff.
