Securing Veterans Pension and Benefits in Orange County, CA

If you’re an Elderly or Senior U.S. Veteran or the spouse of a Veteran, you may be eligible for supplemental income paid to you by the Veteran Administration to help with the financial challenges of everyday living.

U.S. Veterans interested in applying for Veterans Pension must have basic requirements:

Served at least 90 days of active duty with at least one day during a wartime period.

If after September 7, 1980, at least 24 months of active duty or the full period.

No dishonorable discharge.

Also, your yearly family income must be lower than the amount set by Congress to qualify for the Pension benefit. In addition to Veterans’ Pension, individuals may also be eligible for the Aid & Attendance benefit, which would be another monthly payment to you in addition to or separately from the pension payment.

Aid & Attendance Benfit Requirments:

You require assistance from another person with personal care tasks such as bathing, feeding, dressing, or staying safe in the home.

OR you are bedridden

At A-1 Home Care, we want to help you qualify for Veterans’ Pension or the Aid & Attendance benefit because we know how difficult and confusing the application process may be. Services such as In Home Care can be expensive when you have to pay out of pocket, and receiving financial assistance from the government can be a great way to help pay for medical expenses or professional caregiving services.

All of our Cancer caregivers, nurse aides, companions, and home helpers must have at least 2 years of prior at home caregiving experience, verifiable professional references, a National Background Check/DMV Check, Tuberculosis testing, Malpractice/Liability insurance, First Aid/CPR training, and a personal interview with our office staff.
