Success Stories

Rebecca Cashmore & Ethel C.

July 14, 2014

A-1 Home Care proudly acknowledges the 19 years of excellent senior care services of care provider Rebecca Cashmore, who is notorious for “doing everything to make patients happy” through entertainment. Since joining our Los Angeles caregiver for senior team in 1995, Rebecca has managed to earn two milestone awards: May 2013’s Caregiver of The Month and 2013 Caregiver of The Year. In addition to attending to the elderly home care needs of senior care clients, Rebecca entertains her senior home care service clients through leisurely activities, such as music and dance.

With the now deceased elder care client, Ethel C., she played music, danced in front of, and sang to the 24 hour homecare client. They also ate cereal every morning and dined at Stox Restaurant & Bakery in Downey twice a week. The care at home senior client appreciated Rebecca and explicitly considered the Los Angeles home health aide as her own daughter. Rebecca also bonded with the elder care patient’s own biological daughter by engaging in arts and crafts projects involving dolls and beads.

Prior to joining the senior home care service field, Rebecca has immigrated from the Philippines and worked as a restaurant worker in a Filipino-Mexican restaurant in Chicago, a bakery, and a daycare worker for children with disabilities. Working with handicapped kids made Rebecca realize her passion for compassionate care for 24 hour in home care, except she wanted to transfer her new skills to serving as caregiver for elderly.

Since joining A-1 Home Care’s care at home for senior care team, Rebecca has won the hearts of all of the elder care clients that she has cared for with her caring soul and entertaining demeanor. We salute Rebecca Cashmore for reflecting A-1 Home Care’s philosophy of utmost dedication in providing senior home care services.
